Our approach

How the garments get made

Shoppingstore designs in the USA and works with a small set of mills and cut-and-sew partners we visit in person.

Manufacturing we can explain

Every Shoppingstore garment is cut and sewn at facilities we've audited directly, working within fair labor standards that cover hours, wages and safety conditions. We keep production runs small enough that a single team can see a garment from bolt of fabric to finished piece.

We publish the fabric composition for each product because we think a shopper deciding between two sweaters deserves to know what's actually in them, not just a marketing description of how they feel.

Material quality, checked before it ships

Fabric arrives from mills we've worked with for multiple seasons, and every bolt is checked for weight, weave density and colorfastness before it's cut. We reject rolls that don't match the spec on file, even mid-production.

Fit is tested on real bodies across our size range before a style goes into full production, which is why our size charts reflect the finished garment rather than a single sample size scaled up or down.
